Supporting the fight against COVID-19
Now more than ever, our friends in Nepal affected by the COVID-19 pandemic urgently need our help.
As the second wave of COVID-19 hits Nepal hard, we’ve teamed up with our partners across Nepal and the World on a number of life-saving projects:
Supplied 40 Oxygen concentrators to Lumbini Hospital in collaboration with Dr Rama from Watford & BAPIO.
Supporting America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF), Nepalese Doctors Association UK (NDA UK) and Health Foundation Nepal (HFN) in setting up an eighty bed COVID centre at Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Kathmandu. The funds we raise will go towards providing a central oxygen distribution system for the centre.
Also with NDA UK & other UK based organisations, we have sent 100 modified CPAP devices to Society of Critical Care Medicine in Nepal to distribute it across various hospitals . We supplied various PPE, oxygen concentrators, BiPAP and other necessary equipment to TU Teaching Hospital, National Trauma Centre, Kathmandu Model Hospital and Trishuli Hospital.
Working in partnership with Liverpool-based charity So the Child May Live in providing oxygen concentrators, CPAP and BIPAP machines to Kathmandu Model Hospital in Kathmandu.
We have supported Dhading, Dhulikhel Community, Malangawa, Rukum, Pyuthan, Darbung, Salyan Health Post with much needed oxygen concentrators. At the time of writing, six out of the ten people with beds at the centre has COVID-19, all having to share oxygen concentrators.
In total about 200 Oxygen concentrators supplied by HExN are being used in Nepal mostly in the community– this equipment is saving lives.
Please donate now if you can - thank you so much.
